Inline with our collaboration with the National Composites Centre in Bristol, UK, following our recent publication at the recent European Conference in Composite Materials demonstrating the accuracy of our Online Resin State technology for CFRP (copy) we have recently concluded successfully the first series of trials with our new durable sensor for CFRP production (picture below). Our new CF sensor needs no protection against direct contact with carbon fibres, allowing for its use in serial production of CFRP for automotive or aerospace parts. In conjunction with our unique Online Resin State (ORS) technology the CF sensor can provide online evolution of the viscosity, the Glass Transition temperature and the degree of cure (graph below) allowing for real online quality control and lower curing times by curing exactly at the necessary Tg estimated online at DSC accuracy. |
